Multiplayer Technology from scratch (WIP)

  • My Role: Gameplay and Multiplayer Engineer
  • How I started it? (Linkedin Blog)
  • Worked under the mentorship of a skilled SDE
  • Utilised UDP and TCP protocol and built RPCs over it
  • Added client prediction, server sync, etc.
  • Created gameplay, parkour, hit actions, etc. and made them multiplayer ready
  • Did packet creation, authentication, encryption, fragmentation, decryption for udp and tcp

Fishy (WIP)

  • My Role: Solo Programmer
  • Created a full fledged fishy controller dynamically changing control logic according to environment
  • Fixed bugs and implemented controls for ease of designing levels
  • Changed entire logic from character controller to rigidbody in between to suit the need
  • Did fish rigging
  • Added custom logics to interactible and dynamic props
  • Implemented checkpoint system with prop's state management

  • Designed levels based on several iterations of gameplay to get the right feel
  • Utilised Dotween and various other unity tools
  • Finished Prototype in one day

  • Made intuitive controls for seamless creation of a wide range of levels
  • Implemented coyote timing, wall run, and various other exciting mechanics
  • Used render texture technique to get pixel style
  • Worked under time constraint of 3 days

  • Used new input system for swipe
  • Created Interactive UI: Slider for sensivity, score and drop counter, pause, and game over screen

  • Calculated the exact point where the ball got hit on the paddle to impact its reflection accordingly
